Cell for Placement & Corporate Relationship (CPCR)

A well experienced placement officer from JPIM looks after this Cell which functions through out the year. The placement officer keeps close liaison with business, Trade and service organizations for placing students in various corporate houses, govt and private sectors. He will be maintaining data base of prospective employers and through constant interaction with them guide the students in finding suitable placements. He will be studying the various trends that are being followed by the corporate world and then prepare the students to meet their needs.

The CPCR officer will organize seminars, workshops, simulated training modules, guest lectures, visits within and outside India to industries and corporate houses to build sound foundation of Hard and Soft Skills in the students. The corporate houses representatives will be regularly invited to address the students for suitable job placements. The above methodology of CPCR will be a regular feature.

Summer Placements/Internship

Summer Internship is an important and integral part of the Post-Graduate Programme, where students intern with their chosen organization for 6-8 weeks after their first year. The internship programme helps students gain first-hand experience in a particular industry and provides them with ample opportunities to innovate, and challenge ideas and techniques imbibed in the first year. It also helps them in being more receptive to market needs, and in deciding their area of specialization in the second year.

The summer internship also has an academic component: student interns prepare a report on the summer assignment and present it to the organization. They are also required to share their learning with the Institute. The requirement of making a formal presentation about the project to the company and to the Institute ensures that sufficient rigour and discipline are brought in to this exercise.

The Institute has enjoyed extensive corporate support for summer interns with the result that summer projects have been diverse, challenging, and intense learning experiences. Company gets a chance to evaluate the interns over a long period in a real business situation and make pre-placement offers based on this evaluation. A number of companies have used these internships as a key source for full-time hires.

Personality Enhancement Cell (PEC)

Education as we all know is not confined to four walls of the class-room. To develop a well rounded personality co-curricular activities are essential, thus at JPIM we blend our education system with hobbies, clubs games, sports and organize learned personality enhancement gurus' sessions on developing interpersonal skills, effective communication, cooperative & social adaptability, team spirit etc. Lot of stress will be laid on Emotional and Spiritual development for tolerance and peace education. Yoga, meditation and cultural events will form part our daily life at JPIM.
